So, who is Alinar Publishing and what do you do?

Alinar Publishing is a group of independent authors who sell their work on the internet. We aim to provide a place where visitors can find great reads. Alinar Publishing LLP is a non profit-making publishing co-operative and services to our authors are free.

What kind of books will Alinar be publishing?

We will be selling fiction varying in length from short stories through to long novels. The site will also have free reads of varying length. Our ratings will vary from from General to Sultry.

Could you explain your ratings, please?

We will be selling books ranging in rating from General through to Sultry. This will include very sensual romance.

What ebook formats are available?

We currently sell both PDF and HTML ebook formats. Both formats are automatically available via your individual permanent bookshelf. You can choose which version to download.

Why do you ask me to sign up in order to purchase a book?

We ask you to sign up because at Alinar Publishing we create an individual permanent bookshelf for you. This bookshelf stores all of the books you have purchased so they're always available for you to download in PDF or HTML format. We collect minimal information during the sign up process, only what is necessary for the bookshelf to function. We will not sell your email address to a third party or use it to spam you.

I've bought an ebook, where do I go to download it?

Thank you for purchasing an ebook from us. To download your ebook in HTML or PDF format, visit your Bookshelf. To do this, log in using the box at the top of the right column on the website. Once you're logged in, a button for the Bookshelf will appear below the log in box. Alternatively, visit your bookshelf and log in from there.

How do I get the free ebooks?

To download the free romance ebooks and free fiction ebooks offered by our kind authors, please visit the free reads page and read the instructions.

How does the co-operative work?

Each author oversees the production of their own books, from editing through to cover art. Alinar Publishing make the book available for sale and promote it both on the website and through advertising opportunities. Individual authors also work hard to promote their books and Alinar Publishing to the reading public. By working together we believe everyone benefits.

Royalties

All Royalties earned by our authors are passed on to them in full. Any external expenses such as Paypal Processing fees and the Fictionwise set up fee are paid by the individual author.

Submission policy

Because our services are free to the author, publication on the site is by invitation only. We don't have an open submission policy.

What are your contract terms?

We ask all our authors to sign a simple non-exclusive contract. This means that the author will at all times own the copyright to their work and can withdraw it at any time, or sell it elsewhere. The contract is necessary to protect both parties. Alinar Publishing needs to know that the author holds all copyrights to their work and to the cover artwork. And also that they exonerate Alinar Publishing from any disputes that may arise from any copyright disputes. The author needs to know that we will pass on their royalties in full and deduct only previously agreed external fees, which will then be passed on to the third party provider.

We want Alinar to be a friendly and fun place where authors and visitors can interact and get to know each other. We want our authors to benefit one hundred percent from their hard work. We are both authors ourselves and will be selling our own work on the site. We will be carefully monitoring the content to bring you what we hope will be some of the best reads on the Internet. If we had to pick one thing that we hope our stories and books will leave you with, it's characters and stories that you'll always remember.
